Safety and Design Features
Soft start: All generators are equipped with a soft
start function which prevents the power from coming up too
quickly. This function extends the life of the dielectrics.
Heat sensors: A thermistor circuit in the generator
senses the temperature of the cells on the output side of the
system. If cell exceeds temperature, the generator will automatically
shut down and provide a visual indication that the cell has
overheated.
Water sensor: Checks for moisture in the ozone line
and ozone cell. If water is detected, system shuts down immediately
to protect cell(s). Fault message will appear on LCD display
indicating the presence of moisture.
Feed gas pressure sensor: Monitors pressure of feed
gas (oxygen or dry air) to insure that an adequate pressure
is being maintained. Should pressure fall below operating parameters,
system will shut down and fault message will appear on LCD
display indicating low feed gas pressure.
Water pressure sensor: Monitors pressure of cooling
water to insure that an adequate supply of cooling water is
maintained. Should pressure fall below operating parameters,
system will shut down and fault message will appear on LCD
display indicating low water pressure.
High/low current sensor: Monitors cell current to ensure
that a consistent level of ozone production is maintained.
Should current fall below or exceed normal operating parameters,
system will shut down and fault message will appear on LCD
display indicating a current fault.
